What is the ZincFence Social Network all about?

ZincFence is a social network of individuals and fences. The idea somewhat epitomises a culture whereby a group of people would gather at a fence in the community and have a chat. On ZincFence, a fence is a space that hosts a group of people called residents and is run by an elected Chief, or an autocratic one depending on the type of fence. These residents usually would have similar interests or want to talk about something arbitrary. Businesses interested in branding a service or product through a community can also set up a fence of their own.
In essence, it is a place for content sharing while you network with people who are interested in the same things you are interested in. The content you post on ZincFence is exposed to attract attention or offer help to people outside of your own local network. Thus, if you should ask a question, you have more people to respond to you. Don't worry, the responses are rated by members of the community and eventually the most highly rated ones rise to the top.
Of course, you may localise your information to your own network of people, if you wish, or to a fence. However, ZincFence is intended to be more on the open side; the result of that is the ease with which one would be able to find fun stuff and interesting content shared by the entire social community.
Content is categorised in many different sections that represent topics. Ex, this post is in ZF related, and you can always check ZF Related posts for anything related to ZincFence itself.
On ZincFence, people manage their lives and earn virtual money for their activities. The Chief of a fence is paid a salary every month. A chief may delegate certain duties to fence officers, such as the moderation of content on the fence, and these officers are also paid a salary. Virtual money is used to show one's financial worth, helps with reputation and may be used to purchase items on ZincFence.
One major goal of the ZF community is to establish a real world presence on the network. As such, continuous evolution will be one of our key strategies.

Desmond, you are taking on a big challenge I just hope you know that!! Not many people would choose to build a social network, I wonder why?
Well Milton, if I don't do it someone else will so why not me? lol I just need to get help... working on that. I've been on this for a while though, it's a part of a study that I am doing it's all application of my findings to test them further so there's a goal behind it. A scientific one...
